Florida Tech Fall Commencement Set for Dec. 18 at Clemente Center

University Will Confer 749 Degrees at Two Ceremonies

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech will hold its fall commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 18, at the university’s Charles and Ruth Clemente Center in Melbourne.

Florida Tech will confer 749 degrees across two ceremonies, including 189 students who completed their coursework through Florida Tech Online and 131 who attended classes at the university’s off-campus education centers. At the 9:30 a.m. undergraduate ceremony, more than 230 students are scheduled to cross the stage; the 2 p.m. graduate ceremony will see more than 335 participants.

President Dwayne McCay will offer remarks at both ceremonies.

The 2021 graduating class features students from 37 countries and 32 U.S. states.

More than 130 students who graduated via virtual ceremonies in 2020 and spring 2021 will also be recognized during Saturday’s ceremonies: 66 will cross the stage after the 2021 undergraduates have been announced, and 66 will do so in the afternoon ceremony featuring 2021 graduate students.

The university is holding its commencement in accordance with the latest health guidance from local, state and national authorities. Florida Tech is requiring all students, guests and participants to wear face coverings during the fall commencement exercises.
