17th Annual Evening of Hope Coming to Clemente Center April 4

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The 17th annual Evening of Hope to benefit Florida Tech’s Scott Center for Autism Treatment is set to dazzle and delight starting at 6 p.m. Friday, April 4 at a new location, the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center on campus.

Organizers are deeply grateful for presenting sponsor WhiteBird Attorneys at Law and the event committee, including this year’s Chair, Courtney Lewis, and Past Chair Deborah Carson. Honorary members include Rashmi Shah, Jonnie Swann and Laurie Flutie.

The event is a beacon of hope for families and children living on the Space Coast and across Central Florida who need support. The evening, featuring the theme “Lighting the Way,” will shine brightly with a delectable three-course meal, an uplifting mission moment, lively entertainment from Hot Pink, chance drawings and of course the camaraderie and socializing that make this event so special – all lighting the way for our families and their loved ones with autism spectrum disorders.

The Evening of Hope signature fundraising event is vital to the success of the renowned Scott Center, which utilizes evidence-based research and best practices in all its services to help families with early intervention for their children. In line with its three-fold mission of service, training and research, the Center’s community support also helps provide training and experiential learning for graduate students enrolled in Florida Tech’s Applied Behavior Analysis doctoral and master’s programs.

Help illuminate the path and make a true difference in the lives of children with ASD and related neurodiversities by purchasing your tickets before March 15. Organizations and individuals interested in donating to mystery boxes with merchandise, experiences, gift certificates or anything else should contact Jessica Cartagena Assam at jcassam@fit.edu or visit floridatech.edu/eoh.

Event organizers offer their heartfelt thanks to the event’s generous partners for their support of this enchanting and important evening. We also appreciate the many beacons of hope who continue to support The Scott Center’s mission and help make a lasting difference in our community.
