Networking for Women Presents An Update from Washington

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech’s National Center for Small Business Information presents Networking for Women on Monday, Oct. 1. Pam Gillespie, executive
administrator to Florida Congressman Dave Weldon, will present “An Update from Washington.” She will discuss the legislative changes on the horizon for
small business as well as the various resources available to help small businesses succeed. This is a free event and men are also welcome.

Topics will include:

• Federal legislative outlook for small business
• Federal resources – where to find them and how to use them
• How the federal government can help small business owners achieve success

Pam Gillespie has worked in various capacities since Congressman Weldon first took office in Jan., 1995. As executive administrator, she is responsible for
the day-to-day staffing duties of the district office and serves as a liaison to District 15 constituents, state and local elected officials, and business
and community leaders.

The goal of the Networking for Women group is to guide and support women in building relationships and advancing their careers. Networking for Women is
sponsored by the National Center for Small Business Information at Florida Institute of Technology in collaboration with the Florida Small Business
Development Center at Brevard Community College.
