Panthers Finally Break Four Game Away Loss Record Defeating Sharks 58-52

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.- Junior Danise Fequiere (Miami, Fla.) led the Panthers with 12 points.  The score see sawed nine times during the game with
Florida Tech 13-9, 7-4) prevailing in the final minutes over the Nova Southeastern Sharks (12-9, 5-5) winning 58-52 at the BCC Gymnasium.

The game was tight from beginning to end with Tech only ever pushing ahead by a mere six points the entire 40 minutes of play.

The last time the score remained knotted was at 7:41 with the board reading 43-43. Sophomore Tenisha Chase (Temple Hills, Md.) hit two from the charity
stripe and Tech never again relinquished the lead.

At 1:10 on the clock the Sharks managed to come as close as two points 54-52 when sophomore Christine Haber (Libertyville, Ill.) made both from the line
after Fequiere fouled her under the basket.

On the next possession Junior Kristi Harrell (Melbourne, Fla.) hit a big shot from the arc to regain Tech’s momentum and clinch the victory over the
Sharks. The final basket of the night came from junior Danielle Vaughn (Tallahassee, Fla.)  who was fouled and hit one of her two free throws with 14
second left on the clock. Vaughn  finished the game with nine points.

Junior center Shante Johnson (Orlando, Fla.) led under the boards with seven rebounds and a season high eight points going 3-fo-4 from the field and a
perfect 2-for-2 from the line. Chase also added eight points, while Harrell finished with six.

Senior Missy Guadignino (Winter Springs, Fla.) led the Sharks with 13 points and sophomore Amber Bishko (Orlando, Fla.) chipped in 12 points.
