Fundraising for Your Business Is Technically Speaking Luncheon Lecture Topic May 24

MELBOURNE, Fla.—The Women’s Business Center (WBC) at Florida Institute of Technology and the Technological Research Development Authority (TRDA) continue the Technically Speaking Luncheon Lecture Series in May with a program on “Fundraising for Your Business.” Featured speakers are Kirstie Chadwick of Growth Innovators and Jeff Neve from PNC Bank.

Chadwick and Neve will discuss funding for business start-ups and business expansions at the TRDA offices, 1050 NASA Blvd, Melbourne on Thursday, May 24, at 11:30 a.m.

Chadwick has 25 years of experience at technology companies, including 15 years of direct executive-level experience at early-stage, venture-backed startups. From 2004 through 2010, she was director of the UCF Venture Lab, where she mentored hundreds of technology entrepreneurs in business planning, product strategy and financing. Today, Chadwick is a founding partner of Growth Innovators and an executive-in-residence for the TRDA Igniting Innovation (i2) Capital Accelerator.

Jeff Neve is vice president /market loan manager, Central and West Florida PNC Bank. As market loan manager, Neve supports PNC’sCentral Florida and Western Florida regions,assisting localbankersin meetingthe credit needs of their small business clients.As a PNC-certified women’s business advocate, he has been involved in several women’s economic development initiatives, including Women’s Economic Development Outreach (WEDO) and Athena PowerLink.

The series is made possible by a grant to the Florida Tech WBC from the PNC Foundation, which receives its principal funding from The PNC Financial Services Group. The program provides entrepreneurial women in Brevard County with information and access to professional experts in the fields of intellectual property, copyrights and trademarks, financing, manufacturing, exporting and government contracting. Participants will also have an opportunity for one-on-one counseling with local intellectual property attorneys.
