Florida Tech Offers New Masters Program in Burgeoning Field of Human Centered Design

MELBOURNE, FLA. – Florida Institute of Technology’s graduate council recently approved the creation of a new master’s degree program in human-centered design (HCD). This program is aimed at people who are interested in creativity, innovation, interdisciplinary work, design and critical thinking. This is of special interest to those with a background in engineering, science, mathematics, human factors or architecture.

Director of the Human Centered Design Institute (HCDi) Guy André Boy seeks prospective students who “have a desire to understand the role of people in a constantly evolving socio-technical world.”

Students enrolled in the HCD master’s program will benefit from HCDi research and development. They also will be able to collaborate on real-world projects in such domains as aeronautics, space, nuclear energy, education transformation and other life-critical systems.
