ROTC Cadets Join the U.S. Army as Second Lieutenants

Three cadets from Florida Tech’s ROTC program were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army on May 3, 2019.

They are Hank Abell, Julia Hutton and Indiaella Kemm-Pineiro.

Abell majored in global management and finance and will be commissioned into active duty as a transportation corps office. Hutton majored in communications, military science and will be branching military intelligence into the Reserve component and plans on working in the same field as a civilian. Kemm-Pineiro majored in interdisciplinary science, military science and will serve her country as a reserve duty chemical corps officer.

The students received their bachelor’s degrees in commencement ceremonies the next day.
