Panthers Finish Day One of St. Edwards Spring Invitation

AUSTIN, Tex. (men’s golf)– Florida Tech started off in the 12th place after the first round of the 2007 St. Edward’s Men’s Golf Tournament at the Lake
Cliff Country Club. Tech shot a 331 in round one and came back to shoot a 288 for the Par 72 and 6861 yardage course. Second round scores were not
available due to darkness with the remaining teams finishing up their second round at 7:45 a.m.

Teams competing in the tournament include host St. Edward’s, Abilene Christian University, Cameron University, Northeastern State, Barry University,
Colorado-CO Springs, East Central University, Central Oklahoma, St. Mary’s (Tex), West New Mexico University, University of Incarnate Word, Florida Tech,
Midwestern State, Dallas Baptist University and Montana State- Billings.

Currently senior Anthony Klingensmith (Kissimmee, Fla.) is leading the way for Tech shooting a first round 84 and a four under par at 69 for the second
round for a 153. Close behind is senior David D’Agostino (Melbourne, Fla.) with a 80-75 for a two round 155. Senior Jeff Wittup (Calgary, Alberta), also
had a four under par, with a 69 second round after shooting the team’s high first round of 88 finishing the day at 157.

Senior Justin Regier (East Amherst, N.Y.) and junior Dan Moline (Duluth, Min.) both finished day one of Tech’s first ever appearance in the St. Edward’s
Spring Invitational each tallying a 160. Moline shot 82 and 78 while Regier shot a first round 85 and shaved 0 strokes off the second round garnering 75
for the second.

Head Coach Pat Cappola was extremely happy with the Panther’s second round performance that should place them in the top five after the other team’s finish
