Dr. Patton in Taiwan

John R. Patton, D.B.A., associate professor of management and international business, was a participant at an international conference at the Taoyuan
campus of Ming Chuan University in Taiwan on March 12. The university’s graduate school of international affairs and international college sponsored the
conference. Dr. Patton was a member of a roundtable panel discussing the impact of globalization and regionalization on (overseas) Chinese society and
education. Other discussants were from Korea, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, as well as Taiwan. Other topics of discussion during the conference
included Chinese culture and entrepreneurship; how the construction of Malaysia Chinese Society would be impacted by the development of information
communication technology; and what the overseas Chinese can contribute to the development of global principles for public relations practice and education
in the 21st century.
