Local Residents among Florida Tech Students to Be Commissioned

– Five Brevard County residents are among the 22 U.S. Army cadets receiving commissions at Florida Tech on May 7, 2005. Most of these students will also
receive their bachelor’s degrees that day; four will graduate later in 2005. Local students are: Rebecca Hasman, an information systems management major
from Satellite Beach, Signal Corps; Alexandra Landreth, a psychology major from West Melbourne, Military Intelligence Branch; Austin Starken, a computer
science major from Cocoa, Signal Corps; Zerique Zapata; a general education science major from Melbourne, Finance Corps; and Ian Zapotocky, an
interdisciplinary science major from Merritt Island, Adjutant General’s Branch.
