Tamilio Awarded Second SSC Player of the Week Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. (women’s basketball) — Senior three year Panther Jen Tamilio (Boston, Mass.) grabs her fourth Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week of
her career and second this season. This is the fourth Panther to be awarded this honor thus far this season along with fellow crimson and gray members
Kristin Heminger (Merritt Island, Fla.) and Danielle Vaughn (Tallahassee, Fla.). Tamilio who earned this honor in the first week of ‘06 play was a
co-honoree and this time stole the award solo. She won the player of week two other times on January 2nd in 2005 and on January 8th 2006.

For the January 29, 2007 SSC Player of the Week honors, Tamilio pushed Tech to huge win defeating Rollins for the first time in over two years 55-52
notching a career high 27 points and career high six three pointers. She chipped in eight rebounds and two steals for her stellar performance.

Tamilio, a forensic psychology major, transferred to Florida Tech after her freshman year at Salem State College and was also a local product at Salem High
School in Massachusetts. She is currently first on the team in scoring averaging 13.5 points per game and third for rebounding at 4.0 rebounds per game.
Tamilio has 257 points, 76 rebounds, 47 assists, 43 steals and four blocks helping lift the Panthers to a 15-4 overall record and 7-2 in the SSC.

Thus far for her Panther career, Tamilio has notched 769 points 275 rebounds, 82 three-pointers and is producing a .757 free throw percentage for the past
three years. She has also tallied 153 steals, 142 assists and 18 blocks. Despite sitting out half of her junior campaign with a knee injury she managed to
reach the 500 point mark after only two seasons as a Panther.

She is currently fourth in the SSC for scoring, 10th for field goal percentage at 41 %, 8th for free throw percentage at 75%, 5th for steals at 43 and 2nd
for three-pointers and three point field goals made at 1.67 per game.
