Eugene Ferraro ’75, Reeling Them in With the Art of Ethics
Gene is the founder and chief executive of ForensicPathways, Inc. For more than thirty years, he has been involved in the study of organizational culture, governance, and compliance. He is the author of sixteen books and frequently speaks on the topics of effective human resource management, workplace culture, and unethical behavior in the workplace, as well as complex internal investigations. He reminds us, “The truth is only theory until proven otherwise.”
Gene earned his bachelor of science in marine biology from Florida Tech in 1975 and went on to graduate from the U.S. Naval Justice School in 1979. He is a former Marine Corps naval aviator. Gene has been a member of ASIS International since 1987 and currently serves as the program advisor for the Professional Certified Investigator Review course. He is board certified in both human resources management (SPHR and SHRM-SCP designations) and security management (CPP designation). He is a former member of the ASIS Standards and Guidelines Commission and is a former faculty member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is also an inventor and was granted three patents by the U.S. Patent Office covering significant aspects of the whistleblower technology.
Gene was on Florida Tech’s winning lightweight eight boat in the 1975 Dad Vail Regatta and inducted into the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 2015. He currently lives in the mountains of central Colorado.
