FIT Alumna Named Red Lobster President
FIT alumna Salli Setta has been named the new President of the Red Lobster chain. Setta earned her M.B.A. at Florida Tech in 1992, while she was working as a sales promotion assistant for Olive Garden. She was soon promoted to Senior Vice President of Culinary & Beverage for Olive Garden and was later named Restaurant Business’ “Menu Strategist of the Year” & one of Nation’s Restaurant News’ ”Top 50 R&D Culinarians.” In 2005 Setta was promoted to Executive Vice President of Marketing for Red Lobster. She is credited with leading a team in the development of the Red Lobster “Fresh Fish Program” and the “Sea Food Differently” advertising campaign.
