Florida Tech Presents Modeling & Simulation Tutorial

– The Space Coast chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) will host a one-day tutorial on modeling and simulation at Florida
Tech. The tutorial will take place on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The program offers Florida Tech College of Engineering Professor Muzaffar Shaikh and Harris Corp. Senior Engineer Richard
C. Bernhardt.

Shaikh will discuss the value of modeling and simulation as an engineering tool and explore the multidisciplinary applications of modeling and the
differences between analytical and simulation modeling.

Bernhardt will continue with a discussion of the basic principles of simulation and modeling. He will look at the simulation of a complex system,
simulation methodologies, simulation software and offer live demonstrations of several communications applications.

The cost is $40; $35 for INCOSE members; and $15 for students. The tutorial will meet in the Denius Student Center All Purpose Room.
