Nathan M. Bisk College of Business Receives Accreditation by Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education

The Florida Institute of Technology’s Nathan M. Bisk College of Business online graduate program, Master’s in Business Administration with a Specialization in Project Management (MBA/PM), received accreditation by the Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC) effective September 1st. The GAC-accreditation is a highly prestigious honor as it symbolizes the degree of quality found within the MBA/PM. Having the accreditation also symbolizes a commitment by Florida Tech to continuously improve the curriculum and to keep it current.

In October, Dr. Deborah Carstens, Academic Chair of the MBA/PM accepted on behalf of the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business the GAC plaque at the Dallas, Texas GAC Academic Forum which was presented by Ms. Beth Partleton, Chair of the PMI Board of Directors, and Dr. John Cable, Chair of the Global Accreditation Center (insert picture). Dr. Deborah Carstens and Mr. Timothy Muth, Student Assessment Director for the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business, spear-headed both the effort and the team that achieved accreditation status.

The year-long process to achieve accreditation began with a self-study report being submitted that described the program and specifically how the curriculum met the GAC learning outcomes. Currently, there are only 19GAC accrediated universities in North America and 18 other GAC accredited universities in Latin America, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
