Marine and Environmental Science Camp: Beach Day

The Marine and Environmental Science Campers ended their week with a trip to the beach! Campers met with ‘Keep Brevard Beautiful’, who taught the campers the negative impact trash as on the local beaches, especially during turtle nesting season. The Marine and Environmental Science Campers then engaged in a beach clean-up event. Also on ‘beach day’ the campers participated in a beach scavenger hunt to find such things as bivalves, gastropods, crustaceans, and my all time favorite: sea beans! And of course no ‘beach day’ would be complete without some fun, sun, and swimming!
