Florida Tech Psycho-Cinema Presents Love, Actually

– Florida Tech’s film discussion series, Psycho-Cinema: Psychology and the Movies, will present the 2003 romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant, Love,
Actually, on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. The screening and discussion will take place in the F.W. Olin Life Sciences Building auditorium. Admission is
free.

The movie, also starring Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Colin Firth and Liam Neeson, follows the lives of eight very different couples. The characters
deal with their love lives in various loosely and interrelated tales set during a frantic month before Christmas in London, England.

Florida Tech School of Psychology faculty members Dr. Thomas Peake and Dr. James Oelschlager, Gene Shepherd M.D. and doctoral student, James Ferro, will be
on hand to lead a discussion with the audience. The movie and refreshments are free.

Peake originated the film series, which evolved out of his long-standing love of the movies, the humanity they reveal and the lessons they teach. His book,
Cinema and Life Stages: Healing Lives and Training Therapies, was published this spring by Praeger/Greenwood Publishers in Westport, Conn., at (800)
225-5800.

The Skurla Building is located on the corner of University Blvd. and Country Club Rd. For more information, call (321) 674-8050.
