As you plan your next adventure, have you ever considered the following graduate programs?
Our master’s degree in Human-Centered Design is changing the paradigm of how engineers approach new technology creation. Historically, mechanical engineers leveraged technology and built an interface for humans to interact with it. It’s actually less about making the human mold to the technology, but making the technology mold to the human and how we organically think and move in relation to our surroundings. The most obvious example to illustrate this design concept is the iPad. Its design is so intuitive to how humans interact with it that even a two-year old can pick it up and quickly start to navigate through its various features.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Innovation and Entrepreneurship graduate students are coming to Florida Tech with great ideas and making them happen. Radically different from a MBA in entrepreneurship, our curriculum basically encourages our students to take risks, maybe even fail. You might think that’s crazy, but that is the hallmark of today’s competitive startup landscape. Our M.S. in Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides an incubator to let ideas percolate, become pitch-ready and ultimately launch into the marketplace. Through this unique program our students understand how to create truly awesome product/market fits.
Applied Behavior Analysis
Did you know that autism is the fastest-growing serious development disability in the U.S.? Behavior analysts are in demand to help autism patients as well as other types of behavior disorders, like substance abuse, to help identify, approach and solve these complex behaviors. Our Applied Behavior Analysis master’s program is accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis International and is approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Inc., the only credentialing organization for professionals in the discipline. Students benefit from direct access to our nationally recognized Scott Center for Autism Treatment, a non-profit health care clinic serving over 160 families learning to overcome the many behaviors associated with austism spectrum disorders. The program is offered both at our main campus in Melbourne and at our off-campus location in Orlando, Fla.
What was considered science fiction ten years ago is the reality students are making happen right now. Blending together medicine and engineering, biomedical engineers are on the edge of being able to 3-D print a defibrillator or use lasers to detect cancer cells. Our biomedical engineering master’s program gives graduate students the very best resources to solve the most complex medical dilemmas facing society. Our student’s experience at Florida Tech is custom-tailored to their interests and career goals, whether it’s pursuing cancer research or creating a new medical device, students are empowered with the faculty expertise and the lab resources needed to advance their research or even commercialize their ideas.
Commercial Enterprise in Space
Aerospace engineering isn’t the only path to space. This commercial enterprise in space master’s program explores new and innovative strategies to manage space technology, including human space flight, exploration and business investment. It’s a brave new world, one that is on the edge of exploration as new business ventures like space mining, solar-sail space crafts and other unique opportunities present themselves. This program prepares students to strategically navigate this complicated field from industry professionals who have spent years with NASA and private contractors, like United Space Alliance and Boeing and can be completed 100% online, through our Virtual site.
