MELBOURNE, FLA. — Portraits by Brevard County-based photographer Dominic Agostini will be on display in a new exhibition now open in the Frits Van Eeden Gallery at Florida Institute of Technology’s Renee Foosaner Education Center.

The show will remain up through Sept. 22 at the center, 1520 Highland Ave. in Melbourne’s Eau Gallie Arts District.

A special reception for Agostini and the exhibition will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, July 7, at the gallery. It is free and open to the public.

Agostini’s compelling portraits reveal his personal connection with his subjects, many of whom live on the Space Coast. The collection on display represents a sampling from over a decade of his portrait work.

Born on the Caribbean island of Trinidad, Agostini has lived in Brevard since 2005. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography from Columbia College in Chicago.  He is a special assignment photographer for local and national clients, including Florida Tech.

The Frits Van Eeden gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, as well as from 5:30-7:30 p.m. the first Friday of each month. Admission is free.
