Accounting Program Approved by Licensing Board
The School of Management accounting program has been approved by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation through the Florida Board of
Accountancy. This approval allows students who take the program’s courses to be eligible to sit for the State of Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
exam and also be recognized throughout the nation. “We are pleased to earn this approval and to provide our students with the background necessary to
become CPAs,” said School of Management dean Tim Hollingsworth. The accounting program, begun in 2002, will graduate its first students with bachelor’s
degrees in spring 2004.
