African Dancers to Come to Florida Tech Theater

– Florida Tech’s Campus Activities Board presents Step Afrika!, a percussive, precision dance ensemble, on Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. in the university’s Gleason
Performing Arts Center. There is no cost for this performance.

Step Afrika! reaches thousands of people each year and has performed on many stages in North America, Europe and South Africa. Reviewers describe the
company’s performance as a “High energy brand of precision stepping” and the group as “an enormously powerful ensemble of dancers.”

In 2000, Step Afrika! participated in the world premiere of a new children’s production as part of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Imagination Celebration series, featuring the Soweto Dance Theatre.
