Annual Florida Tech Botanical Fest Set for March 2; Vendors and Sponsors Sought

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The ever-popular Botanical Fest at Florida Institute of Technology will be held March 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on campus. While that may seem off in the distance, now is the time to think about becoming a sponsor and reserving a vendor space.

Sponsorships are $500 and provide 500 square feet of sales space for an expected attendance of 4,000 to 5,000. The sponsorship includes the sponsor’s logo on promotional fliers and advertisements; a sponsor board at the event; a prime location on Crawford Green; inclusion in radio announcements and a mention on the Florida Tech Botanical Garden website. The deadline for sponsorships is Jan. 2, 2013.

Vendors may reserve spaces for $350/300 square feet; $225/200 square feet; and $125/100 square feet. Applications for sponsorships and vendor space are available by calling Angela Dunn at (321) 674-8962 or sending email to adunn@fit.edu.

The eighth annual fest will showcase some of Florida’s finest plant and garden vendors, offering palms, exotics, native plants, fruit trees, ornamental shrubs, bamboo, flowering plants and much more. Garden accessories also will be available, such as decorative pottery and outdoor art.

Funds generated support the historic Florida Tech Botanical Garden. The garden is open to the public daily, from dawn until dusk. The tranquil preserve is designed to be a forum for horticultural display, education, research and outreach.
