Horst Named to All-South Region Team
PENSACOLA, Fla. (Cross Country) – Florida Tech’s Carolyn Salois-Horst continues to rake
in the accolades this season. After a 10th place finish and a time of 22:48 in the women’s 6K race at the regional meet last weekend, the senior
earned NCAA Division II All-South Region team honors. Horst’s finish at that meet earned her the right to compete at the Division II Cross Country
National Championship meet Nov. 17. This is just the second time in the history of the Florida Tech women’s cross country program that a runner has
advanced to Nationals.
Horst was recently named to the All-Sunshine State Conference team for a tremendous senior season. She has also been named the SSC women’s cross country
Runner of the Week four times in her career. One of those times came with her individual victory at the Embry-Riddle/Smoothie King Classic this year.
