Autism-Related Workshop Presents Services to Children from Birth to 3 Sept. 23

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology’s School of Psychology offers free monthly workshops of particular interest to parents, educators and
professionals who deal with the issues of autism. The presentation is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Scott Center for Autism Treatment Seminar Room.

Althea Puzio is the speaker for the Sept. 23 workshop, “Early Steps Services: Birth to 3.” Puzio is program director of Early Steps Services, Florida’s
early intervention system that offers services to children from birth to 36 months with disabilities and special health care needs. She will review the
Early Steps program, including eligibility, services, family involvement and resources available to support children.
