Barnes & Noble Hosts Florida Tech in Day-long Events

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech faculty and students will edify and entertain at Florida Tech Evans Library Day at Barnes & Noble on W. New Haven Avenue,
Melbourne, on Saturday, Nov. 15. Activities go from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Presenting a voucher while making a purchase will ensure that a small percentage of the Barnes & Noble proceeds go to support Evans Library. Vouchers
are available at the Evans Library service desk and online at http://www.lib.fit.edu/bookfair/voucher.pdf. They are valid through Friday, Nov. 21.

At 9 a.m. Andrew Aberdein, associate professor of humanities and communication, will lead a discussion and read a selection from Investigating Firefly and
Serenity: Science Fiction on the Frontier. At 11 a.m., Edmund Skellings, Florida’s Poet Laureate, will read from his book Collected Poems, 1958-1998. At 1
p.m. former astronaut and dean of the College of Aeronautics Winston Scott will give a presentation of his book, Reflections from Earth Orbit. From 3 to 6
