Bill Porter Headines Twilight Jazz Jams in Palm Bay

– WFIT 89.5FM, a service of Florida Tech, and Palm Bay Parks and Recreation Department will present one of the country’s top jazz and show drummers on
Sunday, March 20, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Goode Park in Palm Bay. Twilight Jazz Jams are presented on the third Sunday of every month in Goode Park and feature
different artists every month.

March 20th will present South Florida drummer Bill Porter and friends. Porter, proficient on both drums and vocals, is considered one of the country’s top
jazz and show drummers. Best noted for his touch and brushwork, Porter has made numerous recordings with some of the country’s leading jazz artists. He has
performed with the late great Sammy Davis, Jr., Jerry Lewis and Arturo Sandoval and has toured internationally performing in jazz festivals from Denmark to
Chicago. Among those with Porter at Goode Park will be guitarist Phil Fest. One of the world’s leading Brazilian guitarists in the world, Fest is not
limited to Latin music. He plays all styles and is consistently a favorite with audiences.

Join Bill Porter and friends at Goode Park, 1300 Bianca Dr., Palm Bay. Bring your chairs, picnics and blankets and sit back for an afternoon of jazz
enjoyment. This is a free event and musicians may sit in after the first set.
