Free Music in Florida Techs Panthereum Jan. 22

MELBOURNE, FLA.—WFIT 89.5 FM, the City of Melbourne and Florida Institute of Technology present Music in the Panthereum Sunday, Jan. 22, from 3 to 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy an evening of free jazz performed by the Ron Pirtle Quintet. Pirtle, a jazz bass player working throughout the Space Coast, plays as a sideman with virtually every pickup jazz group in Cocoa Beach.

The band is made up of Pirtle on bass, Buck Barefoot on guitar and vocals, Chuck Dickey on drums and Tom Farnoff on vocals, harmonica and guitar.
