Public Lecture on Journey of the Mars Exploration Rovers Scheduled

Dr. Mark Adler, Chief Mission Concept Architect at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, will present a public lecture, “Exploring Mars: The Journey of the
Mars Exploration Rovers” on June 21 at 8 p.m. The lecture will be held in the Florida Tech Olin Engineering Complex Auditorium (118 EC).

Adler’s talk will detail how the rovers, Spriit and Opportunity, were designed, built, tested, flown, landed and driven. He will also explain how they work
and their accomplishments during the mission.

The lecture, free to the public, is a special summer installment of the regular academic-year Astronomy & Astrophysics Public Lecture Series. For a map
