Students interested in gaining experience in oceanography, marine biology, marine science, ocean engineering, and coastal environments. The daily schedule will consist of field trips, experiments, and demonstrations.
This camp is for students who are interested in gaining experience in the fields of oceanography, marine biology, ocean engineering, and coastal environments.
Some of the marine science topics covered will include: seawater chemistry, ocean acidification, anthropogenic impacts on marine life, sustainable fisheries, and plankton communities.
During the coastal engineering component of the camp, students will learn about topics such as: wave and current forcing, sediment movement, estuarine circulation, and shoreline morphology.
