Car Show for Cancer to Benefit Relay for Life, Feb. 5

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The student chapter of Delta Tau Delta at Florida Institute of Technology will host Cars for Cancer: A Fundraiser for Relay for Life. The car show, which will display classic and modern cars and trucks, is set for Feb. 5, from noon to 4 p.m. on campus.

All entries are welcome, but participants must register their vehicle in advance or at the event. The early registration fee is $20 per vehicle and $25 on the day of the event.

Half of the proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Relay for Life and the other half will go to Delta Tau Delta. Last year’s event, which raised close to $1,000, was attended by more than 200.

The public is welcome to come see the cars and enjoy the concession food and music. Music will be provided by the rock bands Positive Chaos and Echo Boomerz. There will also be prize raffles and awards for Best in Show and People’s Choice.

The event will be at Florida Tech’s Frueauf parking lot on Babcock St.
