Florida Tech Center Receives Texas Instruments Grant

– The Florida Tech Center for Software Testing Education and Research just received a $25,000 grant from Texas Instruments’ Educational & Productivity
Solutions Division (E&PS) to support its mission. The center’s charter is to create effective, grounded, timely materials to support the teaching and
self-study of software testing, software reliability and quality-related software metrics.

Dr. Cem Kaner, Florida Tech professor of software engineering received the grant, which will benefit the center and Texas Instruments. The company will
have access to the center’s educational materials and to the expertise of the center’s faculty and students.

The E&PS Division is focused on creating products and services for students and teachers in grades K-12. Florida Tech and E&PS have had a long
association and a history of E&PS funding various testing projects involving faculty and students. The division also has hired Florida Tech graduates.

Florida Tech offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in software engineering and information systems; as well as the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral
degree in computer science.
