Florida Tech Psychology Student Earns Army Scholarship

– Kate Glywasky, a second-year graduate student in the Florida Tech School of Psychology’s Doctor of Psychology Program, has earned an award in the U.S.
Army Health Professions Scholarship Program. The award will pay for the remainder of her doctoral degree education, including a one-year internship. Her
internship will be at either Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI, or at Eisenhower Army
Medical Center in Augusta, Ga.

Glywasky was one of just three students in the nation chosen for the scholarship in the second year of graduate school. Recipient choice was based on
faculty recommendations, grades and leadership potential, according to Dr. Philip Farber, director of Florida Tech’s Clinical Training Program, her
advisor.

Glywasky earned two bachelor’s degrees at the University of Florida. They were in criminology and psychology.

A 1997 graduate of Rockledge High School, Glywasky is the daughter of Dorothy Glywasky of Rockledge, and father Dan Glywasky and stepmother Arlene of
Indialantic.
