Clark Endowed Scholarship Recipient Named at Florida Tech

– At Florida Tech’s annual Honors Convocation on April 21, Brady Denger, a Florida Tech marine biology student, will receive the 2005-2006 Dr. Kerry Bruce
Clark Endowed Scholarship in Marine Biology. Denger, who will be a senior in fall 2005, will receive an estimated award of approximately $3,800.

Denger, of West Palm Beach, Fla., was selected for her outstanding academic record and her works on behalf of students and the university. The selection
committee also was impressed with her participation in biological sciences field and laboratory work. For the past year she has been conducting research on
the activity rhythms of fiddler crabs under the direction of Dr. Richard Tankersley.

She is an active member of the Tri Beta scientific honor society, is a resident assistant in campus housing, and a member of the Residence Hall
Association.

Dr. Kerry Bruce Clark was a member of the biological sciences faculty from 1971 until his death in 1999. A full professor, he was named a 1996 Fellow by
the American Association for the Advancement of Science in honor of his work documenting rare species of sea slugs. His research on mollusks, marine
ecology populations, physiological ecology and biodiversity was widely published in scientific journals.
