College Players Presents “Once Upon a Mattress”

– Florida Tech College Players presents its fall musical, Once Upon a Mattress. Show dates for this musical comedy are Nov. 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m.
in the university’s Gleason Performing Arts Center. Admission is: $8 adults; $5 over age 55; $2 children and students with I.D.

This once-upon-a-time farce follows poor Prince Dauntless (Joseph Stine), who is still a bachelor thanks to his overbearing mother, Queen Aggravain
(Malinda Myers). She insists that each of his potential brides-to-be pass an impossible gauntlet of tests. The ultimate challenge, of course, is to sleep
on a 20-layer bed ala The Princess and the Pea.

Behind the scenes are: director-Sara Beth Parent, assistant director- Claire Surrey, producer-Dan Tyndall, music director-Andrea Douglas,
choreographers-Daney Soto, Heather McFarland, and technical director-Chris Knox. Other main leads are: Princess Winnifred-Meredith Scholtens, Sir
Harry-Steven Tucker, and Lady Larkin-Honey Whitney.
