Conference Focuses on Empowering Women

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech’s National Center for Small Business Information (NCSBI) announces a special women’s conference, “Empowering Women for Small
Business Success,” to be held Aug. 3 on campus.
The conference, which is free to the public, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Gleason Performing Arts Center.
Topics include issues that face women who are small business owners. These include balancing business and family life, and effective networking.
Speakers include Andrea Bortner, Harris Corp.; Carol Craig, Craig Technologies; Tom Gallman, U.S. Small Business Administration; Darlene Hardister-Heumann,
Cooking with Sass; Rosalind Lanthorne, e-Women’s Network; and Kathleen Rich-New, Clarity Works.
