Florida Tech Joins in Logistics Conference in August

-The Florida Institute of Technology School of Extended Graduate Studies announces its participation in SOLE 2005, the
40th Annual International Logistics Conference and Exhibition, to be held Aug. 14-18. The event will take place at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando,
Fla.

Keynote speakers scheduled include Hon. Kenneth J. Kreig, Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics and Frank J. Cepollina,
Deputy Associate Director of the Hubble Space Telescope Development Project. The Defense Technical Co-Chair is Louis A. Kratz, Assistant Deputy
Undersecretary of Defense (Logistics Plans and Programs), who will also be a round table moderator on logistics engineering challenges faced by senior
government and industry leaders.

Technical papers will be presented in the categories of space, industry and defense. Workshops include “Business Case Analysis for Performance Based
Logistics” and “Quantitative Measures of Logistics: Performance-Based Logistics Applications.” The exhibit hall will display the latest developments in
logistics science and technology.

SOLE – The International Society of Logistics is sponsoring the conference, with assistance from the American Competitiveness Institute (ACI). Florida Tech
and SOLE signed a strategic alliance in 2004 to jointly promote and develop logistics education. The ACI is dedicated to the advancement and integration of
