Dance in the Medieval Church Is Next Humanities Lecture

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The next presentation in Florida Tech’s Humanities Lecture Series is Doing the Sacred Shuffle: Processional Dance in the Medieval Church.
It will be on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Hartley Room, Denius Student Center.

Jamie Younkin, assistant professor in the university’s Department of Humanities and Communications, is the presenter. Her research interests include
medieval music and Ambrosian plainsong. She earned her doctoral degree in musicology from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in that subject
at Florida State University.
