Day Two Results

FORT MEYERS, Fla.-Florida Tech was eliminated from singles championship bracket play today after Belen Pandre, Cliff Giel and Keith Kessler fell in the
second and third round. #4 Pandre fell to Samantha van der Drift (Texas Tech) 7-5, 6-0. #3 Giel fell to Tomapka Yasuda (ERAU) 6-7 (10-5), 6-0 (10-5) and
Kessler lost 6-3, 6-0 (ret) to #5 Sinan Sudas (UCF).

In consolation play, Nicole David defeated Lesley Passolt (FGCU) 6-4, 6-2 in the quarterfinals and then lost ot Jonelea Hileman (FGCU) 6-3, 6-1 in the
semi-finals. On the men’s side of back draw action, Giel defeated fellow Panther Nick Bonilla (FT) 6-4, 6-2 in singles and also downed Gavin Manders (FGCU)
6-4, 6-1 quarter final action. Giel also proceeded with another win for the day in the consolation round of the one-on-one doubles shutting down Brad
Henderson (FGCU) 8-1.

Both David and Giel will see action tomorrow in the finals of the consolation bracket.
