Chong and Englehart Featured in FLORIDA TODAY’s 10 to Watch in 2012

Florida Tech head coach Steve Englehart and The Scott Center Executive Director Ivy Chong have been selected as two of FLORIDA TODAY’s 10 people to watch in 2012.

Currently in his first year at Florida Tech, Englehart, a Terre Haute, Indiana native, is helping build the university’s football program. It will make its debut September 2013 as a member of the Gulf South Conference.

Since being named the program’s first head coach, Englehart has worked tirelessly to promote the university in Brevard County and throughout Florida. He has spoken at numerous events, while making stops at high schools in the state. He plans to get more involved in hope that Panther Football will be the community’s football team.

Chong, Executive Director at FIT’s Scott Center for Autism Treatment, was also named to the list. She has worked in the area of developmental disabilities for 17 years, is a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA-D), and a licensed psychologist in two states (Michigan, Florida). She has substantial clinical experience in supervising intensive treatment programs for children diagnosed with autism and related disabilities, and training students at the graduate and undergraduate level
