Evans Library “Go Green” Exhibit Extends through April

MELBOURNE, Fla.—The colorful, kaleidoscopic “Go Green” juried art exhibition at the Florida Institute of Technology Evans Library continues through April. This traveling exhibit from the Strawbridge Art League opened in October with a reception at the Brevard Art Museum. The show features original pieces by local artists who have experimented with new techniques, creating environmental works.

The exhibit showcases about 50 pieces in the categories of “Florida Wildlife—Fish to Feathers,” “Use it up—Recycle” and “Our Green Earth—Lagoon to Estuary.” The original pieces run the media gamut—sculpture, collage, stained glass, oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, clay, photography, pastel and—most unusual, pine needles.
