Womens Business Center Offers Communications Skills Course

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The Florida Tech Women’s Business Center (WBC) in partnership with Facets Consulting Group presents Communication Skills for the
Workplace, a 10-week program meeting on Wednesdays, March 12-May 14. Class hours are 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and will be held on campus in the Link Building,
Room 327. Cost: $995 per person. Discounts are available for small businesses and multiple participants.

The training program offers a foundation in how to communicate effectively. This includes personal credibility, delivering positive and negative feedback,
improving listening skills, rephrasing for better relationships, dealing with difficult people, handling negative situations and more. The program also
covers assessing your communication skills, understanding communication styles, increasing cognitive skills for comprehension and conflict resolution.

The program facilitator is Sherry Acanfora, president of Facets Consulting Group, LLC. An industrial/organizational psychologist, Acanfora has an Executive
MBA and a degree in computer and electrical engineering.

The WBC offers well-equipped facilities conveniently located at Florida Tech; providing teachers, mentors and volunteers with expertise and business
knowledge; partnering with community organizations for broad outreach, and making available training and resources that are onsite, remotely and online to
accommodate busy schedules and offer easy access.
