Faculty Paper Earns Conference Award
MELBOURNE, FLA. — A paper by Florida Tech assistant professor of accounting Joseph Szendi earned the top research award from the International Academy of
Business and Public Administration Disciplines. The award was made at the academy’s annual conference in January in Orlando.
Szendi was honored for his paper, “Integrating Corporate Governance and Business Ethics Education into the Business Curriculum.” The paper examined the
importance, relevance and delivery of corporate governance and business ethics education. Co-authors were accounting professors from the University of
Memphis and Tennessee Technological University.
Florida Tech’s College of Business offers bachelor’s degrees in accounting, business administration, business and environmental studies, information
systems in business, management information systems and international business. The college also offers the Mini-EMBA — a Graduate Certificate in Executive
Leadership — and a master’s degree in business administration.
