– The 2004 Fiske Guide to Colleges once again lists Florida Institute of Technology among the best technical institutes in the country. The 2004 edition of
the prestigious guide focuses on the top 15 percent of colleges and universities in the United States.
The guide notes Florida Tech’s challenging academic atmosphere and curriculum in aerospace, practical sciences, engineering, and ocean-related subjects.
One student notes that, “if you don’t study, you don’t pass.”
The guide also features Florida Tech’s strong research base, noting that “some of the most cutting-edge work in water-related sciences and space happen
here.” Also setting Florida Tech apart is undergraduate participation in research. The guide notes that students get “hands-on experiences that serve to
