FIT Homecoming 2011!!

Homecoming week has come and gone and it was an amazing time. Homecoming at FIT was chock-full of surprises and awesome activities. We had the college player’s show, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”  which was a hilarious show. Two good friends of mine, Kendrick and Casey, were a part of it and made me feel a part of it too.  I helped put up one of the walls on the set!

We had some live bands come to campus and they each put on an amazing show. The last band to play and close out the event was The Influence. They put on an awesome show too. The turnout was great and an overall good time.

That Saturday we had family weekend where our families came down to visit and we had a barbeque and a parade where greek life put on a hilarious show. After the family visit was the homecoming dance at Levelz. It was an all out crazy affair with free limo rides to and from campus. It was crazy to see about 5 stretch truck limos outside of the club just waiting for us. The club was fantastic,it had great music and even better dancing.

To say the least, I was exhausted when I got back to the dorm. Just an all out fantastic night. Homecoming is a big deal where I’m from.  Back at my high school we did homecoming big. It was a huge effort by the school body and FIT had a lot to live up to and I think I can say that they did a very good job. Homecoming at FIT was just an overall good time for everyone. I can’t wait until next year to take part in all the festivities again and maybe participate in even more than I did this year.

Now there’s Thanksgiving break to look forward to so we can spend some more time with our families and get some good food.
