Florida Tech Adds North Brevard Classroom Location for Master’s Degree Programs at Space Coast Regional Airport

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The faculty and administrators of the Florida Institute of Technology Extended Graduate Studies Spaceport site announce a new classroom location in Titusville. Beginning with the fall 2010 semester, which begins Aug. 16, classes will be held at the Space Coast Airport Business Center at Bristow Academy Inc., a subsidiary of Bristow Group Inc. (NYSE: BRS), on Tico Road.

This further develops the relationship between the firm and the university. The two recently announced a partnership to offer a “Yellow Ribbon” Veterans Administration helicopter graduate program.

Graduate programs will also continue at Florida Tech’s Rockledge classroom location.

“Florida Tech is committed to making its master’s degree programs available to the diverse workforce employed at Kennedy Space Center and beyond. Offering Monday through Thursday classes at the airport should accommodate the schedules of these individuals, allowing time for academic advising and meetings with faculty,” said Ralph Harper, Spaceport site director.

The Spaceport off-campus site offers graduate degree programs in project management, logistics management, acquisition and contract management and computer information systems as well as master’s programs in space systems and space systems management. A master’s in business administration is also offered at the Spaceport off-campus site.

Those interested in Florida Tech’s graduate programs are encouraged to apply prior to the start of classes on Monday, Aug. 16.
