Florida Tech Aeronautics Students Earn Spring Scholarships

– The Florida Tech School of Aeronautics announces a total of more than $17,000 in privately funded scholarships awarded to undergraduate students for the
spring semester.

Seniors Scott Sindel, Brandon Holmgren and Ryan Holmgren each earned a $2,000 Chadley M. Rhodes Memorial Scholarship. This endowment was established in
1988 by the family and friends of Rhodes to honor his love of flying.

Senior Paul Sliwinski earned a $1,900 Steven Petrosky Scholarship. The award honors a 1993 Florida Tech graduate who died at age 26 while piloting a Fine
Air cargo plane that crashed after take off from Miami.

Senior Selamawit Firdaweke earned a $1,250 Susan Galos Eason Scholarship for female flight students and a $400 Capt. Joseph Brayton Perkins Scholarship.
This is intended for students who intend to become pilots.

Senior Andrew Condell earned a $1,900 National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) Space Coast Chapter Scholarship. The NDTA endowment was
established for full-time undergraduates interested in aviation management without a flight option. Senior Janel Dickens earned a $2,500 Jeffrey Allen
Dimond Scholarship; senior Christopher Perry and junior Adam Kline, earned Bill Morris Advanced Flight Scholarships of $2,000 and $1,145, respectively.
