Florida Tech Announces Open House for Potential Teachers

– Thirty-thousand new teachers will be needed in Florida next year. If you hold a bachelor’s degree, but not in education, and want to become a teacher,
you can. Those who hold a bachelor’s degree and are considering teaching in middle school or high school, may attend either of two explanatory sessions at
Florida Tech. The information sessions that will describe how to earn a master’s degree while obtaining courses needed to become a teacher.

Both sessions, which will discuss methods of obtaining Florida Teacher Certification, are scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 6. They are 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and
7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sessions will take place on the Melbourne campus in the Shepherd Building. The building is accessible from Babcock St. just north of
University. Blvd.
