Florida Tech Appoints Clark to Board of Trustees

– Dr. Andrew M. Clark of Vero Beach, Fla., was named to the Florida Institute of Technology Board of Trustees at its spring meeting. Clark is the president
of Harris Corporation’s Maritime Communication Services subsidiary. Prior to joining Harris Corporation, Clark spent 18 years as the director of
engineering at the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute in Fort Pierce, Fla.

Florida Tech President Anthony J. Catanese said that Clark’s knowledge and experience will provide an excellent benefit to Florida Tech students in the
ocean sciences.

“Dr. Clark’s appointment brings to the board a real understanding of what it takes to succeed in fields like ocean engineering, marine biology and
oceanography,” said Catanese. “His addition will place further emphasis on these strong Florida Tech programs.” In his position at Harris, Clark is in
charge of a subsidiary that provides broadband satellite communication systems and services to ships, offshore platforms and buoys.

In addition to his professional duties, Clark serves as a Trustee to the Link Foundation and is a member of the Ocean Research Advisory Panel. This panel
is comprised of leaders in ocean industry and academia and advises the Secretary of the Navy.

Clark is the author or co-author of more than 40 technical publications and numerous magazine articles and is the holder of numerous U.S. and international
patents for subsea system technologies.
