Florida Tech at Fort Lee Graduates 11 with Master’s Degrees
FORT LEE, VIRG.— On December 10, 2009, Florida Institute of Technology and the United States Army Logistics University at Fort Lee, Va., awarded Master of Science degrees to 11 students, some of which are on military assignment at Fort Lee. Addressing the graduates were U.S. Army COL Shelly Richardson, president Army Logistics University and Mary Bonhomme, provost, Online Learning, Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Fla.
Degrees were awarded in logistics management, acquisition and contract management, materiel acquisition management and management. Among the graduates was a military officer from New Zealand.
In March, 1973, the U. S. Army and Florida Tech established a cooperative degree program that combines instruction received during a 16-week Army logistics class with graduate classes at Florida Tech at Fort Lee. The entire program is completed at this locale. The cooperative master’sprogram has been designed for military officers, federal government executives and foreign military officers.
