Lecture Explores Early Kennedy Space Center

MELBOURNE, FLA. — As part of Florida Tech’s Humanities Lecture Series, Dr. Lori Walters, a University of Central Florida (UCF) professor, will present
“Shadows of Canaveral” on Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.
Walters is a historian and director of Virtual Heritage at UCF’s Institute for Simulation and Training. Her presentation addresses the creation of a
virtual Cape Canaveral — circa 1962 — and the challenges in conveying the story of history to the digital generation.
The presentation, open and free to the public, will be on campus in the Evans Library Pavilion.
